Background
Many factors cause our skin to age. Some we can influence; others we cannot. Over time, we all get visible lines on our face and notice our skin becoming thinner and drier. Genetics is understood to play a major role in the timing of this process. However, we can have influence over another type of aging, and that is the premature aging caused by environmental factors and lifestyle choices. For example, excessive sugar consumption, stress, toxicity and smoking can lead to an acceleration of the aging process. Even people who already have signs of premature skin aging can benefit from making lifestyle changes and adding certain supplements, including essential oils, to their daily regimen.
